Jan Northoff, CEO of YOUin3D.com GmbH, gives a guest lecture at the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF in Magdeburg, Germany, on the 23rd November 2011. The title of the lecture is "Web 3-D applications and visions - OpenSim and Second Life in a practical test for companies and research institutions" (Web 3D Anwendungen und Visionen - OpenSim und Second Life im Praxistest für Unternehmen und Forschungseinrichtungen).
In his presentation, Mr. Northoff explains the 3-D working areas of YOUin3D.com and describes the dynamics of virtual worlds, specifically of Second Life, of course. He also looks out on the future and possibilies of the fusion of virtual and real worlds.
The presentations of all speakers, who come from industry and research, will be published later by the Fraunhofer Institute.
The lecture series "Virtual Reality - Human and Machine in interactive dialogue" (Virtual Reality – Mensch und Maschine im interaktiven Dialog) takes place every Wednesday at 5:00 pm until the 30th of November 2011.
